An interview with Maher Shafiq Farid on the occasion of the 2019 session of the Sheikh Hamad Award for Translation and International Understanding
He won the Achievement Award for his translation work between Arabic and English. Writer, translator, and professor of English literature and translation at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University. He is interested in criticism and literature and has translated more than thirty books. His books include: Reality and Myth: Studies in Contemporary Literature, Literature and Criticism; Among his translations: the complete works of the poet T. S. Eliot, and Selected Criticisms of T. S. Eliot. He won the State Award for Excellence in Egypt.
