An interview with Ikhlas Al-Qanawa on the occasion of the 2019 session of the Sheikh Hamad Award for Translation and International Understanding
Ikhlas Al-Qanawa: She holds a doctorate in North-West Semitic languages from the Free University of Berlin. One of her translations is “What are the Dead Sea Scrolls and what is their importance?” (David Noel Friedman and Pam Culkin), “The Dead Sea Scrolls 50 Years Later” (Eileen M. Schuller), “The Qumran Antiquities” and “The Dead Sea Scrolls” (Jodi Magness). She also participated in translating the book “Marriage Conditions in a Palestinian Village” (Hilma Granqvist).
