The Department of Oriental Studies at the University of Pristina is one of the most important academic departments devoted to the study of Arabic in the Balkan region. It was established with the aim of preparing specialists in Eastern languages and cultures, and includes a faculty with long experience in teaching Arabic and translating Islamic texts. The department contributed to forming a generation of translators and researchers who work today in various educational and cultural institutions. It also participated in translation and scientific research projects that enhance academic communication with Arab universities.
