Arun Jalaluddin, known as Boon Chom, is a Thai researcher and translator specializing in Islamic studies. He participated in translating a number of legal and doctrinal texts into the Thai language, and contributed to spreading Islamic knowledge in his country through multiple educational projects. He has long experience in teaching and advocacy work, and his academic and religious background has helped him provide accurate and clear translations of Arabic texts. He also has an active presence in cultural initiatives aimed at strengthening communication between Arab culture and Thai society. He was elected in November 2023 as the 19th Sheikh of Islam in Thailand.
